SZWG held a publicity and implementation conference of new drinking water standard on June 29, 2007.

      New national standard for drinking-water quality will take effect from July 1. It brings 71 more quality indicators into monitoring in addition to the original 35 indicators.

      The conference indicates that, SZWG starts to implement the Sanitary Standard for Drinking Water (GB 5749-2006).
