The team of engineering professionals sent by the Shanghai Water Authority has restored three wells and drinking water for more than 8,000 people in quake-stricken Guangji Town of Mianzhu City.

      The team restored three deep wells and set up five temporary water supply stations with 16 taps installed. The taps can supply 75 cubic meters of drinking water every day with the amount to be raised to 300 cubic meters daily, according to the authority.

      The water quality from the taps has also been examined and meets standards for drinking water.
